Lancaster, California (May 2, 2022) – Johnny Carr, 50, of Lancaster, has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision in Lancaster on Sunday evening, according to authorities.

The incident happened at about 4:15 p.m. on May 1, on Division Street and Avenue J-8.

Police said a woman in a Nissan Sentra was heading south on Division Street when she attempted to turn left at the intersection and collided with an oncoming Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound.

Carr, who was the driver of the motorcycle, was ejected by the impact of the crash.

Police said Carr died at the scene following the incident.

There was no update on the condition of the woman driving the Nissan.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
