Santa Rosa, CA.– The man who was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Santa Rosa early Sunday morning has been identified as Jesse Powell, 42, of Santa Rosa, according to the Sonoma County Coroner's Office.
The wreck took place near 8th Street and Warren Lane at about 5:33 a.m. on November 9.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, a Chevrolet pickup truck was heading south on Warren Lane at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway, struck a fire hydrant, and slammed into a parked vehicle.
The driver of the truck, identified as Powell, was declared deceased at the scene.
The Santa Rosa police are working to determine the cause of the crash.
