San Jose, CA.- A man died following a suspected DUI accident in San Jose on Wednesday afternoon, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The wreck took place at around 5:35 p.m. October 8, on Monterey Road and Rancho Drive.
According to the SJPD, a silver 2007 Ford sedan was traveling westbound on Rancho Drive when it made a left turn onto southbound Monterey Road and was hit by a northbound blue 2013 BMW coupe.
The BMW then hit the center divider and crossed into the southbound lanes of Monterey Road.
A passenger in the BMW, identified as Jerome Michael Castro, 39, of Valley Springs, was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.
Both drivers were transported to hospital with major injuries.
The SJPD reported that the driver of the Ford was suspected to have been driving while impaired.
The accident remains under investigation.
