Linn County, OR – One person was killed Wednesday morning in a in Linn County, according to the Oregon State Police.

The deadly accident occurred around 10:41 a.m. on August 13 on Highway 126 near milepost 0.

Police said Jan Dwight McSilvers, 72, of Springfield, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The motorcycle rolled on top of McSilvers after exiting the roadway.

McSilvers was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident closed the highway for about an hour.

The police are investigating the accident.
