Vista, CA – The authorities have released the name of a motorcyclist who was killed after colliding with an SUV on Melrose Drive in Vista late last month.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner identified the rider as Jad Ryden Farner, a 23-year-old Oceanside resident.
Authorities said Farner was riding a motorcycle that struck the front of an SUV that was stopped in the shared two-way left-turn lane in the 500 block of North Melrose Drive near Dove Circle.
Farner was ejected and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vista, CA – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday evening after being ejected in a crash with another vehicle on North Melrose Drive in Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. in the 500 block of North Melrose Drive near Dove Circle.
Investigators said the motorcyclist was northbound on Melrose Drive and collided with an SUV entering North Melrose Drive from Dove Circle.
The impact threw the rider from the motorcycle, causing him to suffer fatal injuries.
First responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities have not determined whether speed, drugs, or alcohol were factors in the collision.
The roadway was temporarily closed as investigators processed the scene.
