Vista, CA. – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday evening after being ejected in a crash with another vehicle on North Melrose Drive in Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. in the 500 block of North Melrose Drive near Dove Circle.
Investigators said the motorcyclist was northbound on Melrose Drive and collided with an SUV entering North Melrose Drive from Dove Circle.
The impact threw the rider from the motorcycle, causing him to suffer fatal injuries.
First responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities have not determined whether speed, drugs, or alcohol were factors in the collision.
The roadway was temporarily closed as investigators processed the scene.
