Authorities reported that a rollover accident involving a single vehicle occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-10
Buckeye, AZ– A man and his two grandsons were killed in a rollover accident that happened on Thursday night in Buckeye, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The accident was reported at about 9:30 p.m. September 11, on Interstate 10, nearly one mile east of Palo Verde Road.
Authorities reported that a rollover accident involving a single vehicle occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-10.
The circumstances under which the crash took place were not immediately established.
Israel Vasquez, 48, of Phoenix, and his two grandsons, aged 6 and 9, were killed in the incident.
Two other occupants of the vehicle were transported to the hospital. There was no update on the conditions of the hospitalized patients.
The eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 were shut down for hours following the incident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
