Tucson, AZ.- A car accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Tucson left one person dead, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The incident took place on West Roger Road at about 2:00.a.m. August 10.
Authorities reported that a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling at a high rate of speed when it lost control, hit a block wall, and struck a parked vehicle.
A passenger in the Chevrolet was ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim was identified as Inez Marie Romero, 24.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 26-year-old man, was transported to Banner University Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The TPD reported that impairment and speed were believed to have played a role in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
