Indio, CA – An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after a car collision that also left five others injured Wednesday evening near an intersection in Indio.

Two vehicles collided around 7:35 p.m., March 25, near Avenue 48 and Dillon Road.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, six people were injured in the accident.

An 11-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.

The other five patients were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance for treatment of injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The cause of this Indio crash was not immediately established, but an investigation is ongoing.
