According to a preliminary report, a white Buick sedan and a Tesla Cybertruck collided in the area after the sedan driver failed to yield at the intersection

Houston, TX – The Houston Police Department is investigating a crash that claimed the lives of two women in the Galleria area on Tuesday afternoon.
The deadly crash took place in the 4600 block of Post Oak Place Drive shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10.
According to a preliminary report, a white Buick sedan and a Tesla Cybertruck collided in the area after the sedan driver failed to yield at the intersection. The Cybertruck is also believed to have been traveling at a high rate of speed.
Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage as a result of the collision.
Two women riding in the Buick were both killed in the accident. Two others in the same vehicle were transported to a hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The man who was behind the wheel of the Cybertruck was uninjured and was cooperative with the investigators.
The Houston Police Department officers from the Central and Violent Crimes divisions responded to the scene to investigate the incident.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area as authorities worked the scene. The HPD is actively investigating to ascertain the cause of the accident.
