1 Killed, 2 Injured in Hesperia Car Crash on Ranchero Road near Topaz Avenue
Hesperia, California (March 27, 2022) – A man was killed, and two others were hospitalized after a head-on collision that happened early Saturday morning in Hesperia, as per a local news source.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department and the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station responded to the 14100 block of Ranchero Road, in between Topaz Avenue and Tropicana Rose Avenue, after receiving reports of the crash that happened at around 12:44 a.m.
The responders found a Nissan SUV and a Chevy pickup truck with extensive front-end damage after a violent head-on crash and a man trapped inside the wreckage and requiring extrication.
The firefighters said the trapped man was pronounced dead at the scene moments later.
The SUV driver and an occupant of the truck were taken to local hospitals with unspecified injuries.
The sheriff’s deputies closed Ranchero Road between Topaz Avenue and Maple Avenue in both directions as they conducted an on-scene investigation.
The cause of the crash was not immediately determined.
The Hesperia Sheriff’s Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the accident.
