Hayward, CA – A woman is dead after apparently being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Hayward early Saturday morning, according to a report by the Hayward Police Department.
The incident took place at about 6:40 a.m. February 7, in the area of Foothill Boulevard and B Street.
According to the authorities, a 56-year-old Hayward man was driving near the intersection when his vehicle struck a pedestrian. The events leading up to the accident were still under investigation.
Hayward Police and emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to the injured victim.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she was later confirmed deceased. Her identity was not immediately revealed but authorities reported that she was in her 30s or 40s.
The involved motorist cooperated with the police and was not arrested. Police do not suspect alcohol or drugs factored in the incident.
