The numbers have been constantly increasing yearly until the peak in 2022, when the county recorded 28 fatalities. According to Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC), most fatal accidents occurred on state routes, especially State Route 28, SR 26, and I-90, which are regarded as the deadliest in Grant County.
