Phoenix, AZ.- A Good Samaritan was killed in an accident that took place in Phoenix early Sunday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The incident took place on SR 202 at 40th Street at about 5:20 a.m. March 9.
According to DPS, a driver in a Dodge Durango was traveling westbound on Loop 202 when they crashed into a median wall.
A driver passing by stopped to check on the crash scene and was hit by another vehicle.
The Good Samaritan was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver who hit the woman was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver involved in the single-vehicle accident fled the scene after the crash.
No further details were released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
