Gilroy Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 880 in San Jose

San Jose, California (March 29, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Monday morning motorcycle accident that killed a 33-year-old Gilroy man in San Jose.

The deadly accident occurred at about 11:57 a.m., on March 27, on Interstate Highway 880, north of East Brokaw Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2005 Suzuki GSX-R 600, driven by the 33-year-old man, was headed southbound on Highway 880 when it rear-ended a Ford F-150.

Following the collision, the rider crashed into a wood and metal guardrails and was ejected onto the roadway.

Motorcyclist Killed in Highway 880 Crash

Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic on the roadway was stopped for about an hour due to the collision.

Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
