Tucson, Ariz. – 82-year-old Geraldine E. McAndrews was killed and a 49-year-old man injured in a two-vehicle collision near an intersection in Tucson Wednesday morning.
According to a police report, the incident was reported on April 17 near North Oracle Road and West River Road.
McAndrews was driving a 2005 Ford Escape SUV south on Oracle Road and was attempting to turn left onto West Genematas Drive, when she was struck by a northbound BMW.
McAndrews was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was later pronounced dead at Banner University Medical Center.
The other male driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
More information about the wreck was not provided.
