According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the mishap happened at around 6 p.m. January 3 near 1st and Centre Streets.
Santa Ana, CA – The coroner's office has identified a male pedestrian killed in a crash near 1st Street in Santa Ana Friday evening as George Estrada Tellez, 63, of Costa Mesa.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the mishap happened at around 6 p.m. January 3 near 1st and Centre Streets.
Tellez appeared to have been walking in the eastbound lanes of First Street near Center Street when he was struck by the two vehicles.
Tellez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
