Gardena police officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to El Segundo Boulevard and Purche Avenue after they received reports of a collision around 8:05 p.m. on April 16.
Gardena, CA – A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition after colliding with a car Thursday evening at an intersection in Gardena, the Gardena Police Department reported.
Gardena police officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to El Segundo Boulevard and Purche Avenue after they received reports of a collision around 8:05 p.m. on April 16.
The responders found a rider lying in the roadway, unconscious and seriously injured.
Paramedics rushed the victim to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where they were listed in critical condition.
Authorities determined that the motorcyclist collided with a sedan under unclear circumstances.
The driver of the sedan was not injured.
The GPD Traffic Bureau is investigating the collision.
