Fresno County, CA – A worker died in an incident where he was crushed by a vehicle at a Fresno County trucking repair yard on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident was reported shortly after 4 p.m. April 28, in the area near Belmont and Lafayette Avenues.

According to investigators, a mechanic was trying to hook up a trailer to a semi-truck at the yard when he was pinned and crushed in between the trailer and the truck.

Deputies and emergency crews immediately responded to the site of the accident.

The victim was declared deceased at the scene. He was only identified as a man on his 20s.

No other injuries were reported in the incident.

Cal-OSHA was notified about the incident and are conducting an investigation to determine its cause.
