Fresno, CA – Man Killed in Crash on Gettysburg and Maple Avenues Identified

According to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office, Daniel Martinez, 63, was killed in the accident that happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. July 13, at the intersection of Gettysburg and Maple avenues on Monday, July 13.

Fresno, CA– Authorities have released the identity of the driver who was killed in a collision between two vehicles in northeast Fresno on Monday morning.

According to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office, Daniel Martinez, 63, was killed in the accident that happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. July 13, at the intersection of Gettysburg and Maple avenues on Monday, July 13.

According to investigators, Martinez was driving a black sedan eastbound on Gettysburg Avenue when he was struck from behind by a white Ford F-150. Authorities believe the driver of the Ford was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Martinez, a Fresno resident, was confirmed deceased at the scene. His dog was also killed in the accident.

The driver of the Ford was transported to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Authorities are still conducting an investigation into the deadly crash.
