Fresno, CA – An e-bike rider was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Palm Avenue in Fresno on Wednesday evening, according to the authorities.
The incident happened north of Olive Avenue shortly before 4:30 p.m. January 21.
Police reported that the bike rider was struck by a car on the northbound side of Palm Avenue. The cause of the accident was not immediately determined.
Authorities arrived at the scene a few minutes later and located the injured rider.
The victim was conscious and breathing as she was transported to a hospital. The victim, a woman in her 50s, was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The identities of the bike rider the involved driver were not immediately available.
Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident and further details will be released once the investigation is concluded.
