Fresno, CA – One person died, and another was hospitalized after a rear-end collision that happened Monday morning at an intersection in northeast Fresno.
According to Fresno police, the accident was reported around 11:45 a.m. on July 13, 2026, at Maple Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue.
Police said a white Ford F-150 rear-ended a black Car under unclear circumstances. Two cars parked along Gettysburg Avenue were also involved in the accident.
The driver of the black car died from injuries sustained in the collision. A dog in the car also died.
The driver of the Ford was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
Authorities closed the roadway for investigation and to allow debris from the crash to be cleared.
