Fontana, CA – At least two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Fontana early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at about 4:00 a.m. on the westbound side of I-10 at Citrus Avenue.
Authorities reported that the crash involved at least three vehicles, including a silver BMW 330i, a gray Hyundai Elantra, and an SUV. The BMW was reportedly blocking lanes with airbags deployed after the collision. The impact left multiple vehicles disabled across the roadway.
At least two parties were trapped inside one of the vehicles following the collision and sustained major injuries. They were transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment. No arrests were reported in connection with the crash.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to assist the injured victims, clear the wreckage, and restore traffic flow. Tow services were requested to remove the damaged vehicles.
The crash blocked multiple westbound lanes of I-10, particularly under the Cherry Avenue bridge, leading to significant traffic disruptions in the area during the early morning hours.
The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
