Fallbrook, CA – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Fallbrook on Monday evening, according to the authorities.
At about 5:20 p.m. February 23, authorities responded to reports of a collision in the area of East Mission Road and Via Zancas.
Preliminary reports indicate that a gray Toyota sedan and a blue Volkswagen were involved in the collision and both came to rest blocking the westbound lanes of East Mission Road.
The North County Fire crews responded to the scene to evaluate parties for injuries.
One person was later transferred to a hospital for further medical aid. The extent of injuries sustained in the crash and the number of patients were not specified.
Both vehicles became disabled as a result of the collision and were removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Lanes were blocked in the area as medics attended to the involved people and firefighters cleared debris from the scene. All lanes had reopened as of 6:13 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol officers also responded to the incident to conduct an investigation. The circumstances under which the crash happened remained under investigation.
