Everett, WA – A child was struck and injured by a motorcycle on Sunday afternoon in Everett, according to the Everett Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of South 2nd Avenue near Eugene Street on Sunday, July 12.
According to authorities, a motorcyclist was heading north on South 2nd Avenue when they hit a 3-year-old who ran into the roadway. It’s unclear why the child ran in front of the motorcycle.
The child was rushed to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The rider of the motorcycle stayed at the site of the accident and was cooperative with the investigators.
The accident caused the closure of South 2nd Avenue between Eugene Street and Biglow Street as authorities investigated the incident.
The Everett Police Department is still investigating the incident.
