At Least 1 Injured in Encino Car Crash on Highway 101 near Hayvenhurst Avenue
Encino, California (February 24, 2022) – At least one person was injured when multiple vehicles collided Thursday morning on Highway 101 in Encino, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup occurred just after 6:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes just east of Hayvenhurst Avenue.
At least five vehicles were involved in the collision.
As per the report, one of the vehicles may have lost control and caused the crash.
A party reporting the accident told authorities that their gray Jeep Wrangler was blocking the No. 1 lane.
An occupant of a silver Volkswagen Passat involved in the collision advised they sustained head injuries.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene shortly after reports of the collision.
Authorities said the collision resulted in minor injuries to at least one person. It was not clear if the patient was hospitalized.
The collision left several traffic lanes of the highway closed for an unknown period.
