Fresno, Calif. – The woman who was killed in a car accident in Fresno County on Tuesday has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office as Elida Fernandez, 65.
The accident took place at Dickenson Avenue and Barstow Avenue on Tuesday, March 5.
The authorities said Fernandez was driving on Dickenson Avenue when she failed to yield at the intersection and collided with a vehicle driven on Barstow Avenue by a 45-year-old man.
One of the vehicles flipped upside down following the impact of the collision.
Fernandez was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
