Delano, CA.- The second person killed in a rollover accident in Delano early Thursday morning has been identified as Elias Antonio Hernandez, 21, of Delano, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly accident took place on Woollomes Avenue west of Wallace Road just before 12:28 a.m. October 15.
According to authorities, Hernandez was driving a black 2017 Acura ILX 4-door eastbound on Woollomes Avenue when he drifted off the north side of the roadway.
The Acura slammed into multiple metal poles and a wooden power pole on the north shoulder.
Hernandez was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Both Hernandez and a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Andru Luque Felix, 19, of Delano, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A second passenger, a 19-year-old woman, was transported to Kern Medical with moderate to major injuries.
Both directions of Woollomes Avenue were shut down for nearly three hours as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
