San Diego, CA. – An elderly woman was seriously injured in a car accident on Tuesday morning in Jamacha.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. at Imperial Avenue and Viewcrest Drive.
The 89-year-old woman operating a Volkswagen Jetta was making a left turn from westbound Imperial Avenue to Viewcrest Drive and was hit by an oncoming Ford Excursion.
The woman suffered serious injuries, including brain bleeds, a cervical spinal fracture, and a broken orbital bone.
More details about the accident were not released.
