Spokane, WA.- One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Spokane on Monday morning, according to the Spokane Police Department.
The incident was reported at around 9:15 a.m. in the area of 8th Avenue and Walnut Street.
According to the SPD, a driver traveling in the area lost control for unknown reasons and crashed into a tree.
The driver, who was not immediately identified, was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Police reported that speed is suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
