Driver Hospitalized after Dinuba Car Crash on Road 64 and Highway 201
Dinuba, California (February 24, 2022) – One person was hospitalized after a DUI crash involving a big rig that happened Thursday afternoon in Dinuba, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at about 2:48 p.m. on Road 64 and Highway 201.
CHP said a Ford Focus collided with a big rig for unknown reasons. The Ford acquired major front-end damage, and the semi’s two rear axles were also damaged.
Dinuba City firefighters and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
The firefighters said the driver of the Ford had been drinking and was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with major injuries. It was not clear if the driver was arrested.
The big rig driver stopped and remained at the scene after the collision.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
