A Honda drove through a red light at the intersection and struck a pedestrian

Hemet, CA. – A 71-year-old woman died after being struck by a car on Saturday night in Hemet.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 11:15 p.m. at State Route 74 and Columbia Street.
A Honda drove through a red light at the intersection and struck Debra Dean.
The woman was transported to Hemet Global Medical Center, where she later died.
The alleged driver, 21-year-old William David Camarena, fled the scene and was later located and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
