At Least 1 Killed in Williams Car Crash on Interstate 5 near Maxwell Rest Area
Williams, California (August 22, 2022) – At least one person was killed and several others injured in an early Monday morning crash on Interstate 5 in Williams, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place at about 12:50 a.m. in the southbound lanes just north of Maxwell Rest Area.
The report said two vehicles were involved in the crash.
Several people were trapped inside the wreckage and needed extrication. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and freed the parties.
Several people were possibly killed in the crash, and several others were injured, as per the report. Reach air ambulance responded to the scene and transported at least one person to the hospital.
Investigators did not immediately establish the cause of the accident.
