Deadly Crash Reported on 280 Freeway in San Jose

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck took place around 7:34 p.m. on the southbound 280 Freeway, just north of Bird Avenue.

San Jose, CA. – One person died in a traffic collision that happened Thursday evening in San Jose.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck took place around 7:34 p.m. on the southbound 280 Freeway, just north of Bird Avenue.

A green Honda Civic and a white Ford F-150 pickup truck were involved in the accident.

San Jose firefighters responded to the scene and found a male party unresponsive.

The report said one person died in the collision.

Several traffic lanes were closed following the accident.
