1 Killed, Another Injured in Jamestown Car Crash on State Route 108 near Chicken Ranch Road
Jamestown, California (May 29, 2023) – One person died, and another was hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Sunday afternoon in Jamestown, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported at about 5:07 p.m. on State Route 108 near Chicken Ranch Road.
CHP said at least one vehicle was involved in a crash, hitting a pole and overturning, possibly ejecting an occupant.
A tire got detached in the collision and hit a gray Nissan.
One person was lying unresponsive in the roadway.
The report said one person died in the accident.
Another party was arrested for an unknown traffic violation and transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
PG&E personnel responded to repair the downed pole.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
