Darolyn Rodas Killed in San Rafael Crash on 580 Freeway on Richmond-San Rafael Bridge

San Rafael, Calif. – 19-year-old Darolyn Alejandra Reyes Rodas has been identified as the woman who died in a crash on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge on Sunday evening.

The fatal crash happened around 7:57 p.m. on 580 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Rodas was riding as a passenger inside a silver Honda sedan when the driver attempted to make a lane change on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and struck a white Mazda SUV.

The impact of the collision caused the sedan to roll onto its roof.

Rodas was found unconscious and unresponsive inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Marin County Sheriff’s coroner.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
