Jurupa Valley, CA. – Authorities are investigating a deadly collision that claimed the life of 23-year-old Daniel Melgar of Ontario on Wednesday evening in Jurupa Valley.
Deputies said the crash occurred around 7:20 p.m. near Market Street and 24th Street.
First responders found Melgar with fatal injuries and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle remained on-site and cooperated with investigators.
Preliminary findings suggest that alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the crash, though it remains unclear which party was under the influence.
No arrests have been reported as the investigation continues.
