Redding, California (October 20, 2022) – Daniel Patrick Ahern, 27, was killed in a motorcycle collision that happened in Redding on October 13, according to the authorities.

The incident happened just after midnight in the area of Shasta and Pine streets.

Authorities said Ahern was fleeing from officers on I-5 when he exited at Highway 44.

Ahern then failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Pine and Shasta streets and collided with a pickup truck.

Ahern died at the scene of the crash.

No further details were released. The investigation is ongoing.
