Craig Jameson Killed in La Mesa Motorcycle Accident on Highland Valley Road

La Mesa, Calif. – Craig Arthur Jameson, 62, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died after colliding with a car in La Mesa on Saturday morning.

The motorcycle accident happened at around 11:30 a.m. on eastbound on Highland Valley Road near Bandy Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Jameson was riding a 2017 Yamaha FZ09 motorcycle eastbound on Highland Valley Road when he collided with a 2019 Toyota Camry that was turning onto Highland Valley from a driveway at a private residence.

Jameson was ejected from the motorcycle and landed north of the northern edge.

He was transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido where he died, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Alcohol was not considered a factor in the crash.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
