San Diego, CA – The authorities have released the identity of a woman who was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash on crash on Sea World Drive in San Diego early Saturday on August 30.
The Medical Examiner identified the woman as 61-year-old Celeste Cullene Necochea.
Authorities said a passerby located the Necochea lying beneath damaged trees and shrubbery, more than 12 hours after the crash occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Sea World Drive near West Mission Bay Drive.

San Diego, CA – Authorities said a woman died in what they believe was a hit-and-run collision that happened early Saturday morning in San Diego, the San Diego Police Department reported.
The woman's body was located more than 12 hours after the crash occurred around 12:20 a.m. on Sea World Drive near West Mission Bay Drive.
Police officers who responded to the scene found two vehicles at the location around 2 a.m. One car had rear-ended the other.
Later in the day, about 1 p.m., police officers were called back to the area after a report of a person's body being found.
The officers found the body of a 61-year-old woman. Authorities believe she was a victim of the earlier collision.
Police believe one of the drivers fled the scene on foot after the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
