Cathedral City, CA – A 29-year-old man died in a crash between two vehicles in Cathedral City on Thursday night, according to the Cathedral City Police Department.
Just after 9:30 p.m. January 29, authorities responded to reports of a collision in the 35000 block of Cathedral Canyon Drive.
Investigators reported that a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Cathedral Canyon Drive when it slammed into the rear of a second vehicle. The impact of the accident caused one of the vehicles to overturn.
The driver of the rollover vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was declared deceased at the scene.
The Cathedral City police identified the deceased driver as Bryan Verduzco, 29, of Cathedral City. The two parties riding in the second vehicle were not injured in the crash.
No additional details about the accident were immediately released. The Cathedral City Police Department is investigating the crash.
