Carson, CA – The 24-year-old man who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 710 in Carson early Wednesday morning has been identified, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.

Authorities identified the deceased as 24-year-old Luciano Jaurergui Galvan.

The fatal collision occurred on the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway at the Del Amo Boulevard exit at approximately 1:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Preliminary investigation findings indicate that four vehicles collided in the middle lanes of the freeway, including a white Kia SUV, a gray sedan, a dark-colored sedan, and a black sedan. The impact left one vehicle in an embankment, while several others sustained heavy damage with airbags deployed.

Galvan was pronounced dead at the scene

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assist and manage the incident.

The crash prompted a SigAlert, leading to the closure of all northbound lanes and the Del Amo Boulevard exit for several hours. All lanes were reopened at approximately 5:30 a.m.

The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
