Long Beach, CA – The Long Beach Police Department has identified a pedestrian killed in a last month accident at an intersection in Long Beach as Carleton Carlson, 77, of Long Beach.
The accident happened at around 7:25 p.m. on February 21, at the intersection of Palo Verde Avenue and Atherton Street.
Carlson was walking east in the roadway on Palo Verde Avenue when he was hit in traffic lanes by a northbound 2015 Toyota Camry being on Palo Verde Avenue.
Carlson sustained critical injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead on Sunday, March 2.
No further information about the incident was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
