The deadly accident happened on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:34 a.m. on Highway 224, near milepost 15.

Clackamas County, OR – The authorities have identified the person killed and two others who were injured after two vehicles collided on Highway 224 in Clackamas County on Saturday morning.
The Oregon State Patrol identified the deceased driver as Candida Rodriguez, 51, of Gresham. Two other people who were passengers in Rodriguez's car were injured. The patients were identified as Nathon Zintkala Melbourne, 32, of Portland and a 13-year-old female juvenile.

OSP said a preliminary investigation indicated a Toyota Corolla, operated by Rodriguez, was traveling on SE Amisigger Road and attempted to turn eastbound onto Highway 224. As it turned, the Corolla entered the path of a westbound Dodge Ram 2500, driven by Kirk Andrew Friedman (59) of Portland, leading to a side impact crash.
Rodriguez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in the Corolla were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Friedman was not hurt in the incident
The highway was closed for approximately four hours as crews worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
