The WSP reported that a white 2021 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on SR 518 when it struck the pedestrian in the roadway
Burien, WA – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon in Burien, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The collision happened on State Route 518 near 8th Street at around 2:54 p.m. on July 15.
The WSP reported that a white 2021 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on SR 518 when it struck the pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian was reportedly walking across the roadway from the right side to the left when the vehicle struck them.
The pedestrian was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment and was said to be in stable condition.
The involved motorist stayed at the scene after the collision.
The accident led to the closure of westbound SR 518 as authorities investigated the incident.
The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
