Renton, WA – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday night in Renton, according to a report by the Washington State Patrol.
At around 11 p.m. on July 29, authorities responded to reports of a collision on State Route 167 near Interstate 405.
According to investigators, a man was trying to walk across SR 167 from the right side to the left when he was hit by a Honda Pilot traveling northbound in the far right lane.
The pedestrian was killed in the accident. He was only identified as a 21-year-old man.
The man driving the involved SUV reportedly stayed at the scene after the collision.
According to the WSP, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
The cause deadly collision is still under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
