Tuolumne County, California (July 25, 2022) – Bruce Krejcik of Tuolumne, was seriously injured in a deadly collision that happened in Tuolumne County Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident took place on Highway 108, west of Old Wards Ferry Road, just after 5 p.m. on July 24.

According to the CHP, a 2002 Mitsubishi Mirage was heading west on the highway when, for unknown reasons, the driver went across the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an eastbound 2006 Lexus ES 330 driven by Krejcik.

The driver of the Mitsubishi was not wearing his seat belt and died in the accident. The identity of the driver was not immediately released.

Krejcik was wearing his seatbelt and was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.

It’s unclear whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the incident. The CHP is investigating the crash.
