According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at around 12:55 p.m. December 21, 2024, on 7th Standard Road at Golden State Highway.
Bakersfield, CA – The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the motorcyclist killed in December 21 crash on 7th Standard Road in Bakersfield as Brian Michael Dwerlkotte, 44, of Bakersfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at around 12:55 p.m. December 21, 2024, on 7th Standard Road at Golden State Highway.
Dwerlkotte was riding his motorcycle eastbound on the roadway when it slammed into a travel trailer.
Dwerlkotte was transported to Kern Medical Center with severe injuries, where he died on January 5, 2025.
An investigation is ongoing.
