Brentwood, CA – One person was killed late Friday night in a two-vehicle collision on Deer Valley Road in Brentwood, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash was reported at approximately 11:49 p.m. on Deer Valley Road just west of Balfour Road.
CHP reported that a silver BMW sedan and a silver Infiniti sedan were involved in the collision.
Initial reports indicated the vehicles ended up off the roadway in an embankment. A witness also reported that the Infiniti was reversing in the roadway before the crash.
One person was killed in the collision. The California Highway Patrol requested the coroner to respond to the scene. Information about additional injuries was not immediately available.
Both lanes of Deer Valley Road were blocked as emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene.
CHP records also showed that authorities were in contact with the Antioch Police Department regarding a vehicle connected to the incident. The silver 2017 BMW 340 was listed in CHP records as a felony vehicle subject to seizure.
The fatal Brentwood crash remains under investigation.
