Blain Chandler Killed in Coalinga Crash on Manning Avenue near Highway 33

, CA. – 13-year-old Blain Chandler has been identified as the boy who was killed in a car accident that happened in Coalinga on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Manning Avenue near Highway 33 at around 12:30 p.m.

Chandler was driving a 2024 Honda Accord westbound on Manning Avenue when he drifted into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a westbound 1995 Kenworth tractor with dual livestock trailers.

Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

Chandler remained pinned in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Fresno County Coroner's Office.

The Idaho woman driving the Kenworth was able to exit the car.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
